Pamela's debut novel Thorn City was acquired by Ooligan Press in May 2022 and will be published in Spring 2024. Pamela workshopped Thorn City through four of Literary Arts “How to Write a Novel in Eight Weeks” boot camps. It took Pamela eight years to complete her first draft.

It’s the night of the NEXTech Ripe for Disruption gala. Dressed to kill in sparkling mini dresses, Lisa and Jamie attend as ‘paid to party’ girls. They plot out an evening of fake flirtations, karaoke playlists, and of course, grazing the catering. Meanwhile, Lisa’s boyfriend Patrick sneaks into the party to meet his new boss, the kingpin of Portland’s food cart drug cartel. Past and present collide when Lisa runs into her estranged mother, Ellen, also known as the ruthless mayor of Portland. Ellen had a teenage Lisa kidnapped and taken to the Lost Lake Academy, a notorious boarding school for the troubled youth of Portland’s elite. Their encounter spurs Lisa into making a fateful choice that traps her, Jamie and Patrick in Ellen’s web. As earth shattering secrets are revealed, will they survive Ellen’s schemes, or be sacrificed to her blind ambition?
